There are many reasons and applications which require variation to standard screw conveyors. Material characteristics & desired processing during conveying are two of the most common reasons that non standard screws & housings are needed. All screw conveyors are volumetric in their conveying of all materials, therefore all calculations for capacity of a screw are in "cu ft per hr".
